Study Mission Debrief: Industrial Decarbonization at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges
On day three of our study mission, our delegation of climate ambassadors received an incredible briefing and tour from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, which is the second-largest port in Europe.

The port is aiming to be entirely climate-neutral by 2050. We learned about their efforts to decarbonize emissions-intensive sectors and embrace new and emerging technologies. We visited the site of their incoming NextGen District, which will house and catalyze the next generation of renewable energy technologies! Our delegation also toured zero-emission operations already in progress, including an all-electric tugboat and shorepower infrastructure.
